Choosing the 12 core fiber optic cable armored multimode om2 indoor outdoor

Twelve fibres make a building backbone: several duplex links between floors or from the main comms room to a distribution point, with spares. OM2 (50/125) carries 1 Gb Ethernet up to about 550 m; for new 10 Gb links choose OM3 or OM4. Corrugated steel tape armour protects against rodents and crushing for direct burial and outdoor ducts.
